Ear Candling

What is Ear Candling?

Ear Candling (also known as ear coning) is the practice of placing a lit, cone-shaped candle into the ear. It’s an alternative therapy that has been practiced for thousands of years having a well-respected history. It is a non-invasive, herbal remedy used around the world. The heat from the candle creates a vacuum and extracts wax and debris from the ear. Nothing is dripped into the ear. Ear candling can be used to remove wax, improve hearing, help with ear and sinus infections, headaches and more. Historically, ear candling was also believed to be a spiritual practice for clearing the mind and senses and improving the energy flow in the body. At the end of the service, we cut open the remaining candle to see what debris was removed and remains in the candle. During the ear candling session, clients also receive the healing benefits of the amethyst bio mat (for more information on the amethyst bio mat, click here).
